Dark Circles under the eyes

Nothing can be more frustrating then looking at those dark circles under eyes in the morning. But here is one solution for you: cut out two pieces of cheesecloth big enough to hold 2-3 tablespoons of grated potato ( you can prepare a few of them from the evening). Grate a raw, white potato in the pieces of cheesecloth. Make two “potato wraps”, place them onto your eyes, letting the juice to seep to your dark circles area. Now the best part-lie down and enjoy for ten to fifteen minutes.

Counteracting Vertical Lines (the scowl lines)


The scowl lines appear between your brows as one or two deep furrows. They are sometimes called the Botox lines because these are the lines most commonly addressed with Botox injections. You realize just how powerful these muscles, are when you see yourself or others with deep lines in these area. Scowling or squinting too much creates these lines, and you can see them even on young people who've acquired this bad habit. Here are some tips to help to prevent them or to help soften them if you already have some.

1.A common cause of scowling is simply squinting because you can't see properly. If you find yourself doing that, it's time to have your eyes checked.


2.We make about 50 percent of our expression lines, and the scowl lines in particular, when we are sleeping. We don't realize when we are dreaming how often we scowl, frown, or make other faces. Putting scotch tape over the scowl lines before we go to bed actually reminds us not to make those expressions while we are sleeping.


3.Massage your face every morning when you are in the bathroom. Try to pull gently those vertical lines smooth with your fingers.

Decrease your cortisol

Take time for yourself, set aside 15-20 minutes a day for meditation or prayer. It is well-established fact, that people who do this have significantly lower cortisol levels then those who don't. Proven long-term benefits include clear and younger-looking skin, a healthier immune system, and prevention of age-related disease such as diabetes, cancer, and cardiovascular disease.

Get good, adequate sleep-six to eight hours of uninterrupting sleep every night.
Minimize stress-whenever possible, avoid stress including situations.

In addition to that, make sure there are plenty of essential fatty acids in your diet; they can decrease cortisol levels. The most effective and delicious ways to do this is eat o lot of wild Alaskan salmon, canned or fresh salmon (just make sure to double check the label).
Other sources of essential fatty acids include avocados, and nuts (particularly almonds, hazelnuts, pecans, Brazil nuts and macadamia nuts). Flaxseed oil is an excellent source, which is actually high in fiber also, which has been shown to help to prevent certain forms of cancer (colon and breast).
