Nail Treatments


Hot oil manicures.


Use for:
improving dry and flaky nail conditions, brittle nails and dry cuticles.
You need:
The oil mixture is two parts of olive oil to one part almond oil. You will need a small infared lamp or a pair of electrically-heated mittens and a plastic bag, plus ten2.5cm (1in.) bandages of approximately 20-30cm (8-12inc.) length.
Application (first-way):
After removing varnish and filed your nails, each fingernail is wrapped in an oil-soaked bandage and the hand placed under the infared lamp or in a plastic bag and inside the electrically-heated mittens for fifteen minutes. After 15 minutes the oil should be absorbed, you can remove your bandages and the remnants of the oil massage into the hands.
Application (second-way):
After removing varnish and filed your nails place your finger in manicure bowl adding oil mixture into water, soak your fingernails for 10 minutes, remnant should be massaged into the hands.

Paraffin waxing.

Benefits:

1.Deep cleansing and toning;
2.Stimulates the blood circulation, invigorating the tissues and improving their health;
3.Makes skin soft and supple, making the cuticles easy to work and helping to eliminate hangnails and calluses;
4.Improves dry and chapped hands and feet;
5.Temporarily plumps out the wrinkles on hands (effect last for several days);
6.Relieves pain in muscles and joins, such as pain of arthritis, rheumatism, muscle spasms and inflamed joins (especially effective in relieving the pain of rheumatoid arthritis.
Caution:

1. Waxes are highly inflammable, to the extent that their direct heating, even in double boiler, is not recommended. They should be heated in purpose-built paraffin wax baths, in which the heating element is sealed away from wax.
2.Also it should show temperature of wax, which should be warmed to 127 degrees F for feet or hands and 110-115 degrees F-for face.
3.Make sure that surrounding areas are protected from splashes or spills by disposable tissues or plastic sheets. The wax is difficult to remove from fabrics and furnishings.
You need:
wax, paraffin bath, warm towels or insulated mittens, two-plastic bags or clingfilm to cover hands or feet.
Treatment:

1.Immerse the whole hand (with fingers spread apart) and lower arm, or the foot, into the wax.
2.Remove the limb from the wax bath, wait five to ten seconds for the wax to solidify, then immerse again.
3.Repeat until the limb has been dipped five to ten times.
4.Place the limb into a plastic bag or wrap in clingfilm. Then wrap the limb in warm towel (an insulated mitten can be used instead). Leave the limb in this way for 15-20 minutes or as long as the wax retains its heat.
5.Unwrap the limb and peel the wax off. The wax should be either discard or recycled (as described here)
6.The limb should now be massaged with a nutritive oil or cream, and the treatment followed by a manicure or pedicure.
